Today I am going to go sailing. I am going to be sailing for 3 weeks! This is the food that I am going to be packing to go sailing and why I would take them:
1. Marmite - Marmite is my favourite spread. It comes from New Zealand and I am proud of that.
2. Bread - I love sandwiches - especially Marmite ones.
3. Apples - They are good for you and give you energy.
4. Wine Gums - Just because they are delicious.
5. Pre cooked steak - Good for me and I could also have streak sandwiches.
6. Cereal - Milo Cereal - yummy breakfast.
7. Milk - for my cereal. I would tie it to the back of the canoe and drag it in the water to keep it cold.
8. Chips - Ready Salted - Yummy and good to share. I had better take a rubbish bag too.
10. A Coke - To celebrate the last day.
11. Dog food - cause I want to bring my dog Jack - Jokes!!
If you went sailing what 10 foods would you take? I think I would get homesick... would you?

Kia ora William, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteWell done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and creating this blog post about 10 food items you would take with you if you were going on a sea voyage with no refrigerator or freezer!
Marmite, wine gums, cereal, and chips are all great choices as they are non-perishable items and would last a long time.
Your idea to drag the milk along the back of the boat is exceptional, and I also really like how you have thought about what meals you could make out of all of the ingredients.
Ka pai for really taking this activity on board and thinking hard about your choices!
You mentioned an eleventh item of dog food so you could bring your dog, Jack. Does Jack enjoy going out on boats?
It sure would be great to have company if you were going to be away for such a long time!
I think that if I went away by myself for 3 weeks I would feel pretty lonely and homesick.
If I were going on this sea voyage, I would pack peanut butter. I eat peanut butter every morning, and don’t think I could go a day without it! Plus, peanut butter is full of good, healthy fats and lasts a while before expiring.
You have done an outstanding job with your blog post, and I look forward to seeing more.
