Week 1: Against the odds

Three things that I treasure are:

1. My Drum Kit: I treasure this because I have always wanted to play the drums and now I have a set and I have lessons. It's very fun and a good challenge.

2. My Dogman Books: These are my favourite books. they are very funny and have great characters. And when I first discovered them I was proud that I could read a book so thick all by myself.

3. My dog Jack: I think that Jack is a cute dog and I like giving him cuddles and pat's. He is always so happy to see me and he makes me smile.

    Well done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey! You have made an excellent post sharing the three things that you treasure.
    I see that you have your drum kit as #1 on the list. It’s so amazing how you are learning to play an instrument, and the drums are definitely a great instrument to play. I have always wanted to learn how to play the drums, and have recently looked into taking lessons.
    Do you have any tips on playing the drums?
    I have never heard of Dogman books before. What are they about?
    Reading is so good for you and your brain because not only does it improve your memory, but it also helps you feel better and less stressed.
    I really enjoy quiet afternoons where I spend the whole time just reading and relaxing!
    Jack looks like such a cool dog! What breed is he?
    It’s lovely to hear that he is always smiling and happy, and it was an awesome idea to include his photo in you blog post!

    Hi. Thanks for replying to all my blogs. I am enjoying doing the Summer Learning Journey. I am also keeping a journal everyday to practice my handwriting. My #1 tip for playing the drums in play music that you enjoy listening to and keep in time with the beat. My favourite song to play at the moment is Eye of the Tiger.
    Our dog Jack is a miniature schnauzer. He got stung by a bee yesterday but he is ok now.
