Korfball and lawnball

On week 4 of Team 4 we played a game of korfball. The instructor told us the rules then we played one game. It was so hot out there I felt like I was in a oven. We did not score a point threw out the entire game.

On Team 4 of week 5 I played a game of lawnball. First we had to get our ball's in a hoop I only got my ball in two times.  Then we did some activates and we did them with one person and I did it with Harry. my Favourite one was the one where you had to get your ball in a hole I got my ball in 50 and 100. Then we the hoop thing again but we were with three people and there were three hoop in a strait line.

Tumu's trip to Ferrymead

On week 3 of term 4 we had a field trip to Ferrymead. When we got there we put some old time clothes on over our school uniform. We all sat in a hall and one group got to eat and my group had to pick a bag and answer a question and we could get a chocolate frog or a ruler. Then we got to eat. I ate animal biscuits and pineapple lumps.
Then we went a old move theatre. We watched an old movie about baking. It was very funny and I saw the guy who played it for us was hiding in a place with a slot in it and when I saw it it gave me a little jump.
After this we had a look in a food shop and we couldn't go in it so we were behind a piece of glass. Then we had a little play in the playground. I like climbing up the old wheel type things.
After our play we did a little role play in the old school. We wrote "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" and when the teacher came to see my work I thought I was in trouble but I wasn't. He said "you actually concentrated" then I went and washed the ink off my hands in the bathroom. Because we used an ink pen instead of normal pens.
Then we had a look in a house and a prison and we had lunch afterwards. Finally we had a look in some other places and then we went on a tram ride.
Then we took off our costumes and we got our bags and got back on the bus back to school. It was a really fun day and I really liked it especially the movie theatre.

On week 1 term 4 our PBL was about 3 thing's but I'm only blogging about World war 1. We were allowed to make an animation or a WeVideo and I made a WeVideo about World war 1.

The Museum

In term 3 in week 9 we went on a field trip to the museum. First we went in a room that I think only people that work there and people on field trips are allowed in. They had some activities for us. First my group did a thing where we tried to warm up a stick. Next we drew some ancient drawings then we had to smooth the hard bits off a rock and the water smelled so bad. Next we had carve off the black on the wooden slab but I did it wrong because I was mostly digging into the wood. Next we had to cut the inside of wood with a Maori axe then we had to drill into a wooden slab with a Maori drill which was my favourite activity. Then we had some food and we all played in a tree and I got lot's of sap and bark on my hands. Then we all went back inside and we looked a lot's of stuff and someone was dressed as Gandalf. And they had a new event there it was a polar exhibition. I really liked the bit where they had a life size polar bear statue they had one standing up and one on four legs. Then we went to the old Christchurch street and the was a horse that you could ride on but I couldn't get on it and a bike with a big wheel at the front and a small wheel at the back and you can also ride on but the pedals were so hard to turn. Then we went to the see arctic stuff we all had a ride on the snow mobile and we had a looked at the dinosaur bones and we looked at a mummy and birds. It was a very good field trip I really liked it and I went back there in the weekend with my family. So have you been to the museum and what is your favourite place there?

The challenges

This and last week we did three challenges where we had to make clothes a grabber and a tube. My Favourite challenge was the second one we had to make a grabber to get a balloon.

I had a really liked it my team worked very well and had lot's of fun doing it. What challenge would you have done

Fantastic Football

In term 2 we do winter sport and I play soccer.
We only play winter sport in the winter session because it's called winter sport. On the first day of winter sport it was pouring with rain it was not a good day for sport. My team has won once and I was doing cycle safety when that happened. On week 4 term 3 winter sport will end. My Favourite moment was when I blocked the ball from the goal and it hit my face!
I feel like I am now better at getting the ball and controlling it.
