Term 2 week 11 Maths

As you probably know this is my last maths blog that I'm going to do in awhile. So this week for maths we are doing maths with shapes. It is different from the maths that we usually do but it wasn't that bad. For my work I had to classify the following shapes and I had to figure out if they where Platonic Solid or Non-Platonic Solid and if they where Polyhedra or Non-Polyhedra and the number of Vertices and Edges and Faces the shapes had and the hardest one was to name 4 objects in real life that are these shapes. It was a lot of work and it took 2 and a half day do get done and speaking of work here is what my work looks like.

Term 2 week 11 Writing

Just like reading this will be my last writing blog for awhile. So this week for writing we did a sentence stacker on a short called Soar. First we had to watch it then we started on our chunks. I wrote chunk 8 and 9 and it didn't take to long to write 9 sentences about it and getting it done. Here is what my work looks like.

Term 2 week 11 Reading

This will be the last reading blog that I will write for awhile. So this week for reading we are doing visualising again. The text I read was ALEX RIDER: NEVER SAY DIE. We needed to pick a sentence to visuals and I did mine on a Google Drawing. It only took two day's to make witch isn't too bad and I had fun doing it. Here is what my work looks like.

Term 2 week 10 Maths

This week for Maths we have been learning about Reversibility and place value. We had to answer some Questions first. Then I got started on my create task and I made a slide over a screencastify. I put in 6 examples of both strategies then I put in what they are then I made the screencastify. Here is my video sorry about the pore sound.

Term 2 week 10 Reading

This week for reading we'v been learning about summarising texted. We had to watch some videos about summarising then we needed to read a text to summarise. I read and summarise a Batman text and we needed to summarise it on to a template. Here is a link to the Batman text and a screenshot of the the template.

Term 2 week 10 writing

This week for writing we did a sentence stacker on the Pixar short Piper. First we had to watch it first and we needed to chose the two chunks that we were going to write about. I wrote chunk 5 and 6 the 2nd one that I did was really short but I manged to write 9 sentences about it. Here are my 2 chunks that I did this week and here is a link to the short.

Term 2 week 9 Reading

This week for reading we'v been learning about visualisation. First we had to watch a video about visualisation then we needed to read a text from Harry Potter. Then we needed to visualise what we'v read on paper or on a Google Drawing and I did mine on a Google Drawing. We also needed to write 7 statements for what we have visualised here is a pitcher of my work.

Term 2 week 9 Writing

This week for writing we did a sentience stacker about a mini movie called Lost and Found. First we had to watch it and the first time I watched the video it almost made me cry. The chunks I did where chunk 3 and 1 here is both of my chunks and the link to the video. My thought mini movie is a 10/10 because it has a good story and good characters and I think this could be a really good show on Disney + P.S I know this was not made by Disney but still.

Term 2 week 9 Maths

This week for maths we have been learning how to use rounding and compensating. Our goal for this week is to use a broad range of strategies to solve multiplication and division problems with whole numbers (Rounding and Compensating.) We did this so we could make X's questions more easier. Here is my D.L.O with some rounding and compensating questions.

Term 2 week 8 Maths

This week for maths we'v been looking at multiplication and division questions. First we needed to pick a maths level and I chose beginner. We had to solve some questions using different maths strategies, one of them was a bit hard. Then we needed to make a DLO about our maths strategies I did my DLO on a Google slide. Term 2 week 8 Writing

This week for writing we had to write a narrative about a character going on a journey. We had to watch some videos to get some inspiration one of them almost made me cry. We had to plan our narratives and on our planers we had to chose a mane character and write the good and bad moments. And the mane character could be anything a person an animal something like that. My narrative is Pokemon themed and my mane character is the Pokemon Scorbunny. Here is a screenshot of my planer and a link to my narrative. Sorry that its so blurry.

Term 2 week 8 Reading

This week for reading we had a reading challenge. We had to read 3 or more books and we need to do different tasks for each one. First I read The Bad Guys Episode 3 and I did true or false questions. Then I did a book review on Alex Rider Stormbreaker my statements are really good. lastly I did test questions on the first Diary of a wimpy kid book.
